Seven years after this, Shri Buddhadev Barik
resigned from his post and then Shri Sadhan Kumar Das was appointed as
the new Headmaster. It was in the tenure that the School got upgraded from
class to II to class III (that is from class VI to class VII ) on 01.07.1980 (
Vivid memo no S/446 dated 01.07.1980) and was poised at a dedicated
stage of obtaining affiliation from the West Bengal Board of Secondary
Education (WBBSE). Though the wait was long enough but finally the day came and
on 10th May 2010 Domdoma Junior High School was upgraded to Domdoma High School
( Madhyamik Level) vivid memo no S/Recog/2000/133 dated 10.05.2000. However,
Shri Sadhan Chandra Das was retired on 31st December 2005 and Shri Rabindranath
Das, An Assistant Teacher of the school became the Teacher-in-charge and took
the responsibilities in his place.
The school, which began with a one-storeyed
building, a few classrooms and students, no electricity, gradually grew in its
structure. In course of the time, many new teachers were appointed too. It was
on 1st August 2007, that Shri Bikash Chadra Sardar, the present Headmaster of
the school was appointed in the mentioned post and thereafter he took the
School to a new height. Domdoma High School started growing at a phenomenal
rate. The infrastructure got better, new classrooms were built, electricity was
brought into the school premises and the number of students increased too.
Finally in 2014, Domdoma High School got upgraded from the Secondary level to
the Higher secondary level and has already made its mark in education in its
surrounding areas. The school can now proudly boast of offering Humanities and
Science streams at the Higher Secondary level. Presently the number of teachers
has also increased to 25.
The School hopes to contribute to the orderly
growth and progress of the students towards a more prosperous and human society
towards. It seeks not only to broaden the knowledge and perspective of the
students but it also to inculcate right values and attitudes. It helps to
create social awareness, develop critical, analytical problem solving and
decision making abilities to enable them to have a better future. The school
also provides opportunities to the students to exhibit their skills and talents
by organising various co-curricular activities. Thus, it emphasises on an
all round development of the students.
The school acknowledges with gratitude the
contribution of one and all who have put in their effort to strengthen its
edifice in their own way and pleased to continue its journey with greater
success and honour in future
